DENSOPOL 80 HT 140 MM X 10 MTR – DENSO
An extremely tough cold applied laminate tape for use in tropical climates. The combination of tough pvc backing and fabric reinforced adhesive makes it extremely resistant to damage by sharp backfill. It is intended for the protection of buried or submarine pipes, welded joints, bends and fittings. It may be applied by hand or machine to medium and large diameter pipes. COMPOSITION Synthetic fibre fabric impregnated and coated with a polymer modified bitumen adhesive laminated to a thick pvc sheeting. The adhesive surface is protected by a plastics film interleaving which is discarded during application.
A synthetic fabric reinforcement coated with rubber bitumen adhesive compound and backed with a conformable PVC film. Due to its great flexibility Densopol 60 is used for wrapping small to medium diameter pipes, welded joints, bends and fittings whereas Densopol 80 is used on larger diameter pipes. High temperature versions are also available(HT).
The extreme toughness is due to the combination of the heavy duty PVC backing and the fabric reinforcement in the bituminous adhesive compound.
